About Twobar Scuba

Twobar scuba was named after the twobar clownfish found on tropical reefs. (Nemo is a twobar clownfish) 

Twobar Scuba is a scuba dive shop & training facility with a difference. The difference is quality training and service.

 We have a full lecture and training facility on site. We use heated pools for our pool training sessions. The pool temperature are about 26 degrees Celsius during the winter months.

Our training facilities comply with both NAUI and PADI standards. Scuba dive courses from beginner to instructor level are trained at the dive school.The highest level of professionalism and safety standards ensure divers qualify as confident and safe divers.

We train specialty courses such as Wreck, Shark, Nitrox etc. The full range of DAN courses are also presented at the facility.

 The shop is situated in Murrayfield, Pretoria. We have an active social dive club that organizes get-togethers once a month. At these socials divers and non-divers get together, meet other divers and discuss dives and special dive moments and experiences in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. No club fees are payable and all are welcome at our socials.

We have established an amateur underwater photographic club for the photography enthuisiasts. This exciting subject is discussed at regular meetings.

We have monthly dive trips to local dive destinations and overseas dive trips are arranged to experience the wonders of dive destinations such as the Red Sea, Maldives, Zanzibar, Madagascar and more.

Our dive travel desk assist divers with information and make reservations for both local and international dive travel.

The owners Kobus and Rika have been active in the dive industry for the past fifteen years. They started by organizing local and overseas dive trips as Indian Ocean Dive Travel and acquired Twobar Scuba eleven years ago. They also built and operated a dive concession/camp in the Inhambane province of Mozambique for a couple of years. In 2008 they started developing Emoyeni Dive Lodge in Sodwana bay and this is an ongoing project.

Twobar has an official dive concession in Sodwana bay with its own dive charter boats and full training and dive facilities. 

Rika is an avid underwater photographer and is experienced in dive travel and reservations. She also manages the dive shop. Kobus is a dive instructor, instructor trainer, commercial skipper and skipper trainer/instructor. He is responsible for all training and diving related matters. Together they use their experience and enthusiasm for the sport to make your scuba diving experience safe and enjoyable and your dive trips memorable.

Twobar Scuba has dedicated staff and an experienced group of Instructors and Divemasters associated with the facility.

Divers from all the different dive associations are welcome at our shop and on our dive trips.
